A Soul Purpose Transition Practice
The Ritual of the
Clear Stream
Inspired by the Tsukubai & the Philosophy of Moving Your Feet
This ritual is a spiritual palate cleanser — ensuring you do not carry the soil of one task into the garden of the next. It is the bow before you cross the threshold.
The Physical Anchor
The Washing of Hands
In the Japanese garden, the Tsukubai is low to the ground, forcing the visitor to bow in humility before entering sacred space.
The Action
Go to a sink and run cool water over your hands. Feel the temperature. Let the sensation bring you fully into this moment.
The Intent — Speak This Aloud or Within
“I release the stories, the burdens, and the energy of the work I just completed. I leave them here in the water, knowing they are held by a higher power.”
The Alignment
Setting the Frequency
The Action
Stand still for 60 seconds. Place one hand on your heart and the other on your stomach. Close your eyes if it feels right.
The Intent — Three Breaths
With each exhale, imagine clearing away the “borrowed scenery” of your clients’ or colleagues’ lives.
With each inhale, draw in the Soul Purpose frequency required for your next task. Feel it settle in your body like light filling a room.
Moving Your Feet
The Threshold Step
The Action
Physically step over a threshold — a doorway, or even an imaginary line on the floor. This single step is sacred. It is the foot following the prayer.

Guided Journaling Prompt
Mapping Your Thresholds:
The Gates of My Day
Prompt One — Identify the two hardest transitions in your day — for example, leaving a heavy clinical session to step into your creative work. What residue usually follows you through that gate? Name it without judgment.
Prompt Two — Write a specific 5-word Frequency Statement you can speak at this threshold — a declaration that reminds you the ground you are about to walk on is new and fertile.
